Produced from an autochthonous variety of plum, the premium selection is prepared from selected plums of an exceptional harvest year. Selected yeasts, top-quality fresh plums, controlled fermentation at lower temperatures, and carefully managed distillation result in an aromatic distillate. The distillate gets its final body through complex aging, initially in new casks, and then in traditional Slavonian oak brandy casks.
The unique aromatic profile of Sljivovice “blue” is created under the watchful eye of master distiller Vesna Jurak, by selection and blending of distillates, aging in oak barrels for a minimum of 24 months.
